Social Justice Initiatives, Involvement and Support

St John the Baptist School is proud to promote and support Social Justice initiatives within our school community.  As a Catholic school it is our responsibility to care and show love for others, especially the poor in means and spirit. By eccouraging our students and their families to support others in need we encourage them to live and show love to others as Jesus Christ did.

Our two primary areas of support and learning are focussed on the St Vincent de Paul Society and Catholic Mission.  Circumstancially however, a fundraising effort may be given focus at a local or wider community level such as Bushfire Support or the recent Drought Relief for Australian farmers.

Through supporting these organisations we seek to give our students to a greater understanding of the life and needs of others.

We are most grateful to our school families who through thier continued acknowledgement and support of our social justice initiatives, show great example to our students.
