Catholic Education Week 2026 runs from Sunday 15 March to Sunday 22 March.
It highlights the positive impact Catholic education has on students, families, and local communities, focusing on faith, service, learning, and community engagement.
The theme in the Diocese of Sale is “Every school a home of peace,” inspired by the Scripture: “Peace I leave with you, my own Peace I give you” (John 14:27).
We are celebrating Catholic Education week in several ways-
- Staff from our Parish in Partnership schools, St John’s Koo Wee Rup, Columba Bunyip and St James Nar Nar Goon, joined together in an in-service reflecting on the connections and aligned beliefs of the Indigineous peoples and the Catholic faith.
- Principals gather for a Diocessan Mass held at Bairnsdale
- St Johns’ students will join students of St James Nar Nar Goon and Columba Bunyip, for Liturgies and snack to celebrate.
● Foundation & Gr 1 – will attend St James, Nar Nar Goon for a 10am Liturgy.
● Grades 2 & 3 – will attend Columba, Bunyipfor a 10am Liturgy.
● Grades 4, 5 & 6 – will be hosted at St Johns Koo Wee Rup for a 10am Liturgy.
All families are welcome come along to celebrate these Liturgies with us.
