Wednesday 24th June marked the Feast day of St John the Baptist, Patron Saint of our School and Parish communities.
We celebrated the day by commencing with a Liturgy during which all those present were invited to come forward to place a shell of water into a communal bowl, symbolising that in Faith we come together as one community.
We also listened to members of our school community explaining why St John’s is a special place for them, with an over-arching theme of kindness, care, friendship, learning, encouragement and belonging, from both students and staff.
Children joined in muli-age group activities in their House groups, completing activities based on Baptism and St John the Baptist.
Following a Sausage Sizzle lunch, the classrooms were open for parents and visitors to join in aftermnoon activities with thier children.
