Our school community celebrates 90 years of Catholic Education in August 2026.
St John the Baptist Primary School was founded on August 9th, 1936.
Many Dutch and Italian families settled in the area in the early 1950’s and these two groups, now into the second and third generations, are still prominent in the school population.
The school was originally staffed by Sisters of St Joseph who travelled daily from their convent at Iona to teach in the original red brick building, currently the administration building.
We have so much to celebrate and also so much to be grateful for in consideration to all those who have created and been part this amazing 90 year history in Koo Wee Rup.
