St John’s regards its School Hat Policy and sun smart awareness as an integral part of the students’ wellbeing.
The hat is part of St John’s school uniform and is compulsory for children to wear during outdoor activities throughout Terms 1 and 4.
School Hat Policy: No School Hat – No Playground Play – During play and lunchtime children without a hat must remain in the undercover area adjacent to the Administration Building.
Two styles of hat are allowed that provide greater protection. These are the legionnaires cap and the broad brimmed hat. These hats satisfy Anti-Cancer Council of Victoria guidelines and are available via our school uniform shop.
