What a great time we had. A busy few days full of new experiences and challenges, yet still time for making new friends. When asking what the highlight was for students, the responses were varied and full of enthusiasm. Everything from the MCG, Art Gallery, The Zoo, the walk to the Netball & Hockey Centre, even Urban Camp itself and of course the train trip. The bus trip home held lots of sharing about purchases from the Queen Vic Market. We knew we’d arrive home tired and we certainly did!
Congratulations to Lachlan Chapman and Charlotte Hughes who were invited to compete in the Lions Junior Public Speaking Competition on Friday 1 September.
Both students presented themselves and their speeches with confidence, successfully winning the Junior Public Speaking Award for Grades 5-6 & Grades 3-4, respectively.
St John’s school community is so proud of their efforts.
